Hey everyone,

This is now the new place for former Metaplace users and developers to connect with each other and talk. Introduce yourself! I'll go first.

I'm Cuppycake, Community Manager for Metaplace Inc. I've been around building this community since August 2007, so I'm more than a little familiar with lots of you. I hope that people will stop by here and continue the friendships that were started in Metaplace.

This is terrible news.. I'm very sad over this.. I had such plans.. I suppose I should look upon it as a good thing I didn't have more time to invest in faster development, else I would have wasted it all. Business is business, but bloody hell it still sucks.

Sorry to see this happen, Raph. I haven't been in near as much as I've wanted, always putting it off another day. I'm encouraged to see you're moving right on to another project, though. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with! Cuppy, glad to see you'll still be at the forefront of the community! I hope to make the party. Ah well, a new year and a new start, right?

I wasn't as active as I could have been, but I tried to get friends interested and popped in from time to time.

There were (are) some darn creative people out there. I saw some really beautiful, funny, and sometimes touching stuff in the worlds I wandered through. Just wanted to say 'thanks' to everyone who got in there and really played with the platform.

I'm so sorry guys. I loved Metaplace... very addictive, so addictive in fact that I did more Metaplace coding that real work coding when I first got into the game. Soooo not good for my job security if you know what I'm saying.

I'll take my projects to another platform, maybe I'll go back to Ruby again (didn't like LUA).
